Karl Rohde 1939-2009

Karl Woodrow Rohde was born Dec. 7, 1939, in Houston and died Feb. 11, 2009, in Conroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Iris Rohde.

He is survived by his wife, Anita of Huntsville; son, Duane Rohde of Bonham, Texas, and Kenneth and wife Jeanie of Alpine, Texas; daughter, Carrie Holmes and husband Wayne of Sheffield, Texas; stepsons, James Rohde and Frank and Leo Crocker; grandchildren, Ashlie, Racheal, and Courtney Rohde, Reagan and Radney Rohde, Shane and Travis Holmes; great-grandchildren, Alison and Kenna Rohde; sister, Jean Meyers and husband Larry of Arlington, Texas; and David Rohde and wife Judy of Austin, Paul Rohde and wife Janet of Guyana, South America, Nancy Yockel and husband David of Bethany, Okla., along with many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
